2013 Idaho International Choral Festival Schedule
(Schedule subject to change, additional detail will be added as the Festival draws closer)
                                                              TUESDAY, JULY 9

All Choirs arrive at the Student Union Building of the Idaho State University Campus, check in, and meet their host families. 

                                                          WEDNEDSAY, JULY 10

8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.                Singing in the Hills  - Opening activities and Lunch at Pebble Creek Ski Area. Transportation and lunch are furnished by Festival.

1:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.                Rehearsals/ Free time.  Choirs will be able to choose from various free time activities including swimming, touring Fort Hall Replica, Pocatello Zoo, Museum of Clean, Idaho Natural History Museum, shopping, casual lawn games, or time with host families, or quiet time.

5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.                Dinner, furnished by Festival

6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.                Opening Ceremonies and Concert.  Each participating Choir is asked to bring their national flag.  Preferred size:  Approximately 20 in. (52 cm.) x 12 in. (31 cm)

                                                        THURSDAY, JULY 11

8:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.              Workshops and/or rehearsals

11:30 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.              Outdoor performances

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.                Rehearsals/ Free time  Choirs will be able to choose from various free time activities including swimming, touring Fort Hall Replica, Pocatello Zoo, Museum of Clean, Idaho Natural History Museum, shopping, casual lawn games, or time with host families, or quiet time.

5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.                Dinner (furnished by Festival)

7:00 p.m. – 8:05 p.m.                Concerts at churches (6 choirs)

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.                Concert at Performing Arts Center, Jensen Grand Concert Hall (4 choirs)

                                                        FRIDAY, JULY 12

8:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.              Workshops and/or rehearsals

11:30 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.              Outdoor performances

12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.             Rehearsals/ Free time  Choirs will be able to choose from various free time activities including swimming, touring Fort Hall Replica, Pocatello Zoo, Museum of Clean, Idaho Natural History Museum, shopping, casual lawn games, or time with host families, or quiet time.

5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.                Dinner (furnished by Festival)

7:00 p.m. – 8:05 p.m.                Concerts at churches (6 choirs)

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.                Concert at Performing Arts Center, Jensen Grand Concert Hall (4 choirs)

9:30 p.m. – midnight                Outdoor dance.  Outer Limits Fun Zone. Transportation furnished by host families or Festival

                                                    SATURDAY, JULY 13, 2013

8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.                Rehearsals for Gala Concert/Free time with host families/Lunch (transportation and lunch provided by host families)

6:00 p.m.                                       Arrive at Jensen Grand Concert Hall (transportation provided by host families)

7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.                Gala Concert.  Each Choir will perform for 10 minutes.

                                                               SUNDAY, JULY 14

Various times                             Choirs participate in worship services at several local churches.  Choirs are requested to prepare some sacred music for these.  Transportation provided by host families.

2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.                Closing Ceremonies and picnic for all choirs and host families.  (Food furnished by festival)
