Frequently Asked Questions for Supporters

1How can we become a host family?
Please check the “Be a Host Family” page and submit the host family application form. The festival housing director will contact you with additional details.
2Am I allowed to request guests from specific countries when hosting?
We cannot guarantee all guest preferences, but be assured that we will try to accommodate your requests.
3Are Sponsorships Tax-Deductible?
Yes. The Idaho International Choral Festival is a non-profit organization with an IRS (501) C-3 exemption. This means monetary or in-kind donations are tax deductible.
4What types of volunteers does the festival need?
We need host families to provide room and board for our wonderful guest musicians during their stay in Pocatello. We also need ushers to pass out programs and help patrons seat themselves at some of the performances. Many other areas of the festival can use the help of the community; if you want to help, we will find a place for you.
5How is the Idaho International Choral Festival funded?
The festival is only possible due to the generosity, hospitality, and volunteer spirit of hundreds of area businesses, families, and individuals! We rely on grants, corporate sponsorships, cash contributions, merchandise sales, ticket sales from concerts, including the Gala Finale and the donation of in-kind goods and services in order to offset the costs of operating the festival.
6How can I make a financial contribution to the Idaho International Choral Festival?
You may go to the”Donate” page of our website for personal online contributions or the to “Be a Sponsor” page for corporate and in-kind contributions. Checks or money orders may be mailed to the listed festival address.
